A cured block of Dunlop natural latex is not yet a product a buyer can order. It still has to be cut, measured, and finished into the specific component a mattress brand or manufacturer actually needs. This final stage is where our product range takes shape.

Cutting to Specification

Cured latex foam typically arrives at the finishing stage as a large block or sheet. From there, it is cut down to the thickness, size, and shape required for a specific product. A support core is cut differently from a topper, and a pillow is shaped differently again, so this stage involves precise, repeatable cutting rather than a one-size-fits-all process.

Because buyers order against a firmness scale measured in ILD, alongside specific thicknesses and sizes, finishing has to be accurate and consistent. A core cut to the wrong dimension, or foam that varies in firmness from one production run to the next, creates real problems for a manufacturer trying to build a reliable product line. Consistent finishing is what makes it possible to reorder the same specification months or years later and get a matching result.

The Range This Stage Produces

From the same base material, finishing produces a wide range of components:

  • Mattress cores, including multi-zone constructions where firmness varies across the core to match support to different parts of the body.
  • Toppers, cut to standard or custom thicknesses for layering on top of an existing mattress.
  • Layers and sheets, supplied for mattress and cushion manufacturing where a brand is building its own construction.
  • Blocks, left less finished for buyers who want to cut their own custom shapes and sizes.
  • Pillows, shaped and finished as a complete, ready-to-use product.

Each of these starts as the same cured Dunlop natural latex described in the previous stage of this story. The difference between them comes entirely from how the foam is cut and finished.

Why This Stage Matters to Buyers

For a mattress brand or manufacturer, the finishing stage is the part of the process that most directly affects what arrives at your production line. It determines whether a component matches your specification exactly, whether repeat orders are consistent, and whether custom sizes and cuts are actually achievable rather than just theoretical.

This is also the stage where our full range becomes available to order: every ILD, every thickness, and every size, including custom specifications and cuts on request, for mattress cores, toppers, layers and sheets, blocks, and pillows alike.

From Component to Your Product

Once a component is cut and finished, it is ready to become part of your build, whether that is a complete mattress, a topper program, or a cushion line. Seeing and feeling the finished material is the most direct way to judge whether it fits your specification.
